THE FAMILY PAVILION @SEAPORT! NOON - 5pm featuring: The Treasure of Princess Full Moon Presented by Montauk Theatre Productions An ethnic folk tale for children with original music and audience participation. Two performances – 1 & 3pm Painting with Pato! Presented by Imuri Kids will unleash the little artists within as they join Pato in creating fun masterpieces throughout the afternoon Warner Bros. Celebrity Corner! Meet and greets with everyone’s favorite Warner Bros. characters: Bugs Bunny! Daffy Duck! Tweety! and Scooby Doo! Seaport Cinema Cartoons and more, including fun and educational treats from Discovery Kids. Sport Art Workshop at Children's Day Noon to 5pm Presented by The Institute for Aesthletics Come turn your creativity into physical fun by inventing your own games at the Sport Art workshop. Experiment with weird equipment, spaces, balls and rules to craft your own sport, and then enjoy yourself by playing it!
ARTS & CRAFTS PAVILION NOON - 5pm Lots to see and do, fun and educational too! New York Public Library NYPL will be promoting their Summer Reading along with the Library's resources. Sign up for summer reading fun at your local library and online at www.summerreading.org Children’s Museum of the Arts Cool down and create some personal shade with CMA. Learn to make sun visors using construction paper,markers and cellophane. Sony Wonder Sony Wonder will be introducing families to Aibo, their Robotic Dog and kids will also have the opportunity to make a thaumatrope (a toy used to create a simple animated image.) MANIC PANIC Let your face be the canvas with Manic Panic providing the supplies, using all of the favorite Manic Panic products, stop by to add a little color to your day. MAKE A PIRATE HAT! NOON - 5pm Presented by the South Street Seaport Museum Stop by Pier 16, right by the Peking ship, as the Seaport Museum presents an afternoon of arts & crafts and hat-making fun. NOTE: To celebrate Children’s Day, the Museum will offer special discounted admissions to other attractions like the Peking and the Pioneer.
